NPGD & Gardens Uncorked Too!

15-Feb-2011

Compton Gardens hosts an annual event, National Public Garden Days, in conjunction with our highly anticipated annual plant sale. In addition, the gardens and their paved trails are open from dawn until dusk daily, serving as an oasis from busy city life. Compton Gardens will celebrate National Public Garden Day on Friday, May 6 with a preview native Ozark plant sale available to our volunteers and donors. Saturday, May 7 is the public sale with a return by popular children’s author, Dawn Denton who has just published her second book. She will be available that morning for reading and autographing books.

National Public Garden Day will also feature the 2nd Annual fundraiser, The Gardens Uncorked Too! The evening of May 7th will show new aspects to the trails of Compton Gardens as well as stations offering great wines and incredible food pairings. This year, participants can start their tours at either 7 or 7:30 that Saturday night. Tickets are $75 each and will be available later for purchase.
