You’re Invited

We are excited to offer School Days to you and your students as a virtual experience! This has been made possible for Arkansas schools because of the generosity of our amazing sponsor, Avery.

Our team has worked diligently to ensure that this program aligns with the Arkansas Department of Education Curriculum Standards for 4th grade students.

The virtual program utilizes video, lesson guides, and interactive activities. The students will have the opportunity to virtually tour The Peel Mansion Museum & Heritage Gardens located in Bentonville, AR.

Students will also connect with 3 other Bentonville, AR museums—The Museum of Native American History, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art.

In addition, they will experience the craftsmanship of local NWA artisans: Hillfolk, Wildgoose Pottery, NWA Quilting Guild & Sioux Creek Forge.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Activity stations include a pioneer family and their wagon, teepee display, a blacksmith demonstration, learning about the life of a Civil War soldiers, Native American history, observing plant life in an herb garden, dancing, music, touring the mansion and more!

Bring a bagged lunch and beverage for your students to have. Students also have the option of packing money to spend in the Cabin Store. Fun items will be available to purchase ranging from $1-$5.

 Attire that makes your class easy to identify. Optional attire in the Victorian era/1800s is allowed. (no weapons)
