In today’s culture, children are spending more time inside than they are outside. This is largely due to: technology. The average American child is said to spend 4 to 7 minutes a day in unstructured play outdoors, and over 7 hours a day of screen time. The Peel Mansion Museum & Heritage Gardens “Littles in The Garden” series will benefit children by promoting creativity and imagination, teaching responsibility, providing stimulation, getting them moving, and encouraging their curiosity in nature! This series will also educate kids on where their food comes from, how bugs play a crucial role, and how flowers grow.
