The mid-century modern home of Dr. Neil Compton was beautifully restored in 2018 and provides multiple layouts for private events, as well as conference rooms for meeting space. Compton Gardens & Arboretum welcomes guests for corporate events, private parties, board meetings, and life special celebrations.

Garden Room

With original stone features the Garden Room includes a terrace that overlooks the unique woodland landscape of Compton Gardens. At 35’x18’x21’ the Garden Room can accommodate up to 65 seated guests or 90 for a standing reception. A welcoming lobby and catering kitchen are located adjacent to the Garden Room to add to the beauty and convenience of this space. The Walker Display art hanging system features original photography of the region and can be used to display art as requested. Overhead speakers are available for plug and play access and a projector and screen are available upon request, as well as a mobile podium and wireless microphone.

Rent the Large Boardroom

This spacious meeting area of the Large Boardroom is a great place to foster meaningful communication between teams and colleagues. The Large Boardroom is equipped for meetings of 16 guests, and features ClickShare Wireless Presentation System, a large screen TV with HDMI hookups, and a conference call phone system, ideation boards, and a podium.

The Small Boardroom includes seating for 8 guests and provides a perfect setting for meetings and shared workspace. The same amenities of the Large Boardroom are available in a room that is accommodating for a group that requires less space.

Additional Policies & Considerations

Your rental includes the use of sixteen (16) 8’ banquet tables, eleven (11) 4’ round tables, five (5) 32” cocktail tables, ninety (90) folding chairs, and one (1) 6’ sweetheart table. Linens are available for a fee of $5 per round, $10 per banquet, and $25 per 50 napkins.


The on-site catering kitchen features a commercial refrigerator, ice machine, hot holding cabinet, dish washer, three compartment sink, handwashing sink, and a private entrance for loading in and out of the facility.

There are three parking lots at Compton Gardens: the front parking lot with 9 spaces and 1 handicap space, the middle parking lot with 14 spaces, and the 3rd street parking lot with 32 parking spaces. All parking is available on a first come first served basis for public use, unless reserved for a private event. If you desire private parking, we will close off public access for you and your guests for an additional fee.

Compton Gardens has an open catering policy, and you may provide your own food and beverage for your event. Alcohol must be served in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. All sales of alcohol must be conducted through a certified server or caterer that holds the appropriate license and permits to serve alcoholic beverages.
